Nice View!

This is a very nice place to go for seafood.  The seafood is very fresh and I especially love the lobster and oil dip!  Usually the service is very good.  It is quite pricey though, its better value to go when you have a coupon from the entertainment book, LOL. The view is very nice, cozy at times.  But you have to ask for a nicer table in advanced or you mite get those "middle tables".  The only thing that really bugs me is the "guard" at the toll both at the port of Vancouver.  I mean, you see a young couple dressed up in a non "beater" car obviously going for a date, and you keep asking us if were sure we're going to eat, and I can always check on you and such...Like why you power tripping all the time?  That guy is quite annoying. Geez. But anyhow, I go back =)

The Tropika on Broadway is alright place to have Malaysian food.  Last time I was going to give it another chance by booking a party there, the manager said that the minium for everyone would be $25 excluding tax and gratuity... PER PERSON! ummm... we werent exactly planning to have a feast, I mean, 20 girls times $25 = $500. Are you kidding me? How are we going to eat all that? LOL. Especially when its a la carte and everyone can at most finish one to one and a half dishes?

TASTY!

For Malaysian food I definately think Banana Leaf is better than Tropika.  Its great how they have different specials everyday. My favorite dishes are the roti canal (Indian style bread), the crab, satay (lamb, beef, chicken or pork on skewers), and the spicy beans.  Great for dinner, lunch, even breakfast, LOL!

Funky!

This is a very funky restaruant.  I love the decor! totally different and it feels like more of a "new age" Japanese restaraunt.  Great place to introduce non eating Japanese food to people.  I love the Captain crunch roll, which is basically a deep fried California roll.  They have some couches and some tvs where you can watch the game! Bonus!  The servers are knowledgeable and recommened some great dishes.  Will definately go back again!

One of my fave Japanese places to eat! Out of all the guus, this is my favorite one! I forget what its called, but they soup there is awesome! Sure its a long wait, but its worth it!  The tuna tataki is good, beef sashimi, and another favorite is the avacado tartar! YUMS!
